The 2023 Alsame scholarship application process is closed. The 2024 application process will open in the fall of 2023.
Alsame seeks applications from high school seniors who have demonstrated a strong commitment to supporting diversity in their schools and communities. If you are one of these individuals, we hope you will continue your efforts to promote diversity and multiculturalism. Please consider applying for one of our scholarships.
The Alsame Scholarship
This scholarship is intended to recognize and support students who, through their past activities or educational aspirations, have indicated an interest in the advancement of underrepresented groups in the United States. Award amount varies each year.
This scholarship is not tuition restricted. In addition, the recipient agrees that Alsame can use their name and likeness for future promotional publications to encourage students to apply for future scholarships.
One-time amount range: Between $500 – $3,000
Criteria:
- Be a high school senior
- Have a minimum cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) of 2.50
- On track to graduate from a high school in Michigan in 2023
- Latino/a or Hispanic ancestry
Requirements (to be uploaded in the application):
- Official high school transcripts
- Personal Statement (prompt in application)
- Letter of Recommendation
Proof of enrollment at a Michigan college or university must be submitted by September 15, 2023 in order to receive the Alsame scholarship.
