The Alsame Executive Board is now accepting applications for member institutions looking to host high school students from all across the state in 2025 and 2026.
Alsame’s annual Latino Youth Conference aims to offer information and training to Latino/a/x high school students that will enhance academic success, promote higher education, and help with career planning. Each year, the conference is hosted by a different participating institution in Michigan, and high school students from all across the state are invited to attend.
Past conference hosts include Central Michigan University, Ferris State University, Grand Valley State University, Michigan State University, Saginaw Valley State University, and Wayne State University – to name a few. The conference allows high school students to interact with Latino students and professionals from all over the state.
The host has a unique opportunity to support Alsame’s mission to promote a post-secondary education to Latino students and showcase their campus, support systems, and resources to students who may have yet to visit their campus. More details about the host’s responsibilities can be found on the following Alsame Host Flyer:

Davenport University is hosting the 2024 Latino Youth Conference on May 3, 2024, and we hope to secure and announce the 2025 conference host during this year’s conference. If you are interested in applying on behalf of your institution, please submit this inquiry form or contact Salvador Lopez at lopezs@alsame.org
