Congratulations Adriana! Alsame wishes the best of luck with your future educational endeavors!

Adriana Flores graduated from Saginaw Arts and Sciences Academy in Saginaw, MI, and is attending the College of Creative Studies to major in Communication Design. Adriana states, “With my degree, I hope to find a way to use my art to make a difference in regard to social change. Art is a very powerful thing, and I would like to use it to inspire others and join the fight for social justice.” Adriana adds, “This ALSAME scholarship will help me attend College for Creative Studies (CCS) to study communication design. I can purchase supplies I need and put the rest of the money towards my tuition. I’ve decided to attend CCS because of their wonderful programs that prepare you to work in the field as an artist. I hope to become an inspiration to young Hispanic artists the way I look up to my favorite Hispanics artists. I hope to one day use what I learn at CCS to make a difference and use my art to raise awareness about social issues, especially those affecting the Hispanic community. This scholarship allows me to take another step in that direction.”
